Realty Specialist

The incumbent is responsible for exercising technical expertise in a wide variety of complex land and realty transactions which may include all or several of the following areas:
lands and realty case work, planning systems, compliance, environmental analysis, and budget. The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of duties including, but not limited to, the following:
- Gathering, analyzing, and processing information, and making defensible recommendations on a wide variety of complex and controversial lands and realty actions including rights-of-ways, communication sites, land acquisition and disposal, Recreation and Public Purposes (R&PP) actions, exchanges, permits, leases, withdrawals, and trespass.- Determining land ownership and status, reviewing applications and plans of development, conducting field examinations, and establishing and maintain case files.- Responding to inquiries regarding laws, regulations and agency policies, and procedural guidelines for administering the program.-Preparing environmental documents for a wide variety of complex realty casework.- Conducting on-site compliance examinations on rights-of-way, permits, R&PPs, and other use authorizations to assure compliance with terms and conditions.- Preparing lands and realty information for planning documents, plan amendments, and plan maintenance.- Providing reports on and monitors portions of the lands and realty Strategic Budget Plan. For GS-11:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service. Examples include experience that provided a full working and practical knowledge of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Title 43 Code of Federal Regulations, manuals, policies, guidelines, realty reports and other pertinent laws and regulations to provide expertise and make appropriate recommendations for a variety of routine and noncontroversial realty transactions related to lands and realty case work, planning systems, compliance, environmental analysis, budget, and public outreach. - OR - Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related Equivalent combinations of post-high school education and specialized experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
